South Africa fast bowler Kagiso Rabada will be keen to be at his best as they begin their post World Cup campaign against India. Ahead of the start of the series, Rabada has showered heaps of praise on India skipper Virat Kohli.

The Proteas bowed out from the World Cup from the group stages. They failed to play as a team and were one of the first team to exit the competition. And now, they will look to come out stronger and bounce back. The team from Rainbow Nation will play three T20Is and Test each starting from September 15.

Kagiso Rabada, who had a mild outing in the World Cup will be desperate to bounce back against India. He will also relish the opportunity to play against a top side like India in their home conditions. Ahead of the start of the series, Rabada has downplayed his opponent skipper Virat Kohli.

The Proteas fast bowler labelled Kohli as the best limited-overs batsman in the world currently. Kagiso Rabada also mentioned that they will go out and look to express themselves against the best batter in the world.

“Virat Kohli has proven that he is the best batsman in white-ball format,” Rabada said. “He is already regarded as a great of the game with some pedigree. Playing him is an opportunity to test yourself as a player.

“I think he is a fighter and at the end of the day, we would like to go and express ourselves and not have any fear. Have fun, play hard and just enjoy the battle with the world’s best batter,” he added.

“There will be a few debuts. Players who have not played against an Indian team, especially such good quality. We are going to see where we are at here. We believe we are going to win. It’s exciting and we are going to have fun,” Rabada concluded.
