New Zealand vs India 2020: Kane Williamson Declared Fit To Play 3rd ODI

After missing initial couple of games in the ODI series, the skipper Kane Williamson is all set to play the final ODI of the three-match series at Mount Maunganui on Tuesday. New Zealand have already sealed the series with two comfortable victories in Hamilton and Auckland. In his absence, Tom Latham led the side pretty well.
Williamson was earlier ruled out of the first two ODIs after he suffered from a shoulder injury during the third T20I. He recovered from an inflamed AC joint niggle in his left shoulder. Before that, he missed the last two T20Is of the five-match series as well which India clean swept 5-0.
Despite missing skipper Williamson in the line-up due to a shoulder injury, the host shrugged off the T20 series debacle to claim the ODI series. New Zealand, though, will have the experience and leadership of Williamson for the final game as he has passed the fitness test.
Kane Williamson did full work out:
Speaking of Williamson, the coach Shane Jurgensen stated that the skipper did well enough to recover from the shoulder injury and looking to make a comeback to the game in the final game. With the Tests set to come, Williamson will look to have game time in the middle.
“Kane Williamson did full work out and on the track to play tomorrow. We just need to see him once in the morning and hopefully, nothing happens overnight. It is a bit complicate to say Kane Williamson is 100% fit but we are confident and he is positive to be back on the track. He has come through the training well,” Shane Jurgensen said ahead of Third ODI.

In T20Is, Williamson had impressed all as he delivered in the first two matches and scored 95 runs in the third. Most probably, it will be Tom Blundell or Mark Chapman, who will make a way for Williamson for the final game at Bay Oval.
