Kapil Dev Hails Competition Between Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah

The Haryana all-rounder, Kapil Dev has been mightily impressed with the performances of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah. He lauded the duo for their stunning show for the team across the formats.

The best thing that happened to India is the presence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah in the bowling section. They both got the knack of delivering the goods for the team when it required the most.

The former great furtherly quoted the talented duo has been exceptional for the team in the recent past. Kapil Dev termed that there is healthy competition between Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar, which is delivering the goods.

Gone are those days when team India was all about the batting line-up but of late, it is the combination of both which has been a massive success. Meanwhile, Kapil Dev also terms it, as the healthy.

When asked about India’s bowling combination of Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kapil said: “The best thing that has happened to the Indian team is that they have a competition among themselves. These are two bowlers who can strike at any batsmen.”

”This kind of a situation is very good to have and is good for the team. In the past, there was competition in the Indian team only among batsmen but today, there are about 10-12 fast bowlers who are vying for a place in the team,” he added.

However, as Kapil Dev said, it has been a blessing for the Indian team to have Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah in the ranks. Meanwhile, the core group of youngsters are also doing their best to stay in the side.

Recently, Ravi Shastri has also termed the importance of having the duo in the team and are planning to prepare a workload chart for the fast bowlers.
