Of late, the emergence of Kedar Jadhav as the bowler, or someone known to have the golden arm has been the regular headliners. He has been terrific with his bowling by foxing the batsmen more often than not. Within a short span of period, Kedar Jadhav became the proper spin bowler, who can deliver the goods for his team. Meanwhile, Kapil Dev has got a suggestion for the batsmen to play him better.

Kedar Jadhav bowled brilliantly throughout the Asia Cup 2018 for his skipper. He got those economical overs for the team and gave the breakthroughs when it mattered the most. All in all, he ended up giving the significant contribution for the team in Asia Cup 2018.

It is always better to play Kedar Jadhav for singles – Kapil Dev

The former Haryana all-rounder quoted it is the time for batsmen to consider Kedar Jadhav as the proper bowler for team India. He wants them to give respect for Kedar and score the runs down the ground.

Further, Kapil Dev went to say insisting the batsman across the world to play Kedar only for singles. He suggests batsmen should not fall in the trap when Kedar Jadhav gives those lose balls to whack out of the park.

“Batsmen should think well on how to play him. It is always better to play him for singles. One should not play big shots to him,” Kapil Dev said while speaking Gulf News on the sidelines of the Asia Cup final.

”He is a bowler against whom you can take a single off every ball by trying and placing him especially when you have four fielders up there. If he gives you a loose delivery don’t try to lift him but hit him along the ground,” Kapil Dev added.

However, it seems like Kapil Dev has got the valid point in his kitty. So far, the batsman across the world have tried to get the most from Kedar Jadhav in the middle-overs but fallen prey for his slow bowling.

Coming to Kedar Jadhav’s career, after a lengthy lay-off due to injury, Jadhav has been back in the Indian side. Unfortunately, he once again experienced a little bit of niggle in his hammy during the Asia Cup 2018 final.
