Karim Sadiq Expresses Delight After Receiving Gifts From CSK Trio

We are all aware of the fact that there is a different sort of a bonding between India and Afghanistan as far as cricket and their respective boards are concerned.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has done every possible thing to help the growing country develop their game. They have designated two adopted home ground for the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s (ACB) team in Dehradun and Noida.

Meanwhile, the relationship between the players from both countries is pretty healthy too.

It was quite evident from the fact when the Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) trio in the form of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Dwayne Bravo, and Suresh Raina gifted a bat and autographed jersey to Karim Sadiq, an Afghanistan cricketer.

The Afghan cricketers are big fans of former Indian skipper Dhoni, He has a worldwide fan following and Afghanistan is no different.

It was in last year, Afghanistan expressed their desire to play their maiden Test against India. They are about to realize their dream in a couple of day’s time.

The historic One-off Test between the two teams starts at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium from Thursday (June 14).

Sadiq took to his Twitter handle to reveal the bat and jerseys gifted to him by Dhoni, Bravo, and Raina. He was simply overwhelmed with the gesture and thanked the trio.

Moreover, Sadiq also called Dhoni as the all-time best captain in the world.

Posting pictures with the gifts, Sadiq wrote, “Thanks all time best captain @msdhoni thanks @DJBravo47 @ImRaina from your respectable gift.”

Karim Sadiq not a part of Afghanistan Test squad:

It must be noted that Sadiq is not a part of the Afghanistan Test squad who will play India in the historic Test. However, Sadiq has been an integral part of the Afghanistan squad over the past couple of years despite being in the shortest format. He last appeared for Afghanistan back in 2016.

Sadiq is a quite active person in the social media. He always expresses his happiness on his Twitter handle whenever Afghanistan performs well. He will be hopeful of scaling new heights and make a case for himself in the longest format.
