I’ve Not Seen A Cricketer In My Profession Who Gives Better Feedback Than MS Dhoni: Karn Sharma

Karn Sharma, Indian leg-spinner, has heaped high praise on former Indian captain MS Dhoni, adding that there is no cricketer who gives feedback better than the 2011 World Cup winner.
Karn Sharma, who has played under the leadership of MS Dhoni for both the national side and for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.
Sharma made his debut under MS Dhoni during the 2014 England tour. Reminiscing about his debut, the Railways leg-spinner, during an interaction with Dr. Yash Kashikar on his Instagram show “Say Yash to Sports’, revealed how Dhoni preempted Joe Root’s move and asked him to bowl a googly.
“I still remember when I made my T20 debut against England, he (Dhoni) told me ‘isko first ball googly daal’ (bowl a googly first up). I was new and Joe Root was batting. He said ‘Ye pakka tere ko reverse sweep maarega, to pehla ball googly daal’ (he will definitely play reverse sweep, so bowl a googly),” Karn Sharma revealed.

‘He gives quite a lot of useful recommendation’- Karn Sharma on MS Dhoni
Karn Sharma has been a part of the Chennai Super Kings outfit for 2 years now. Talking about his experience of playing under Dhoni in the IPL, the leg-spinner said the recommendations from the wicketkeeper-batsman has been a constant.
“Even after we follow in Chennai (for CSK), he gives quite a lot of useful recommendation from behind the stumps. In reality, I’ve not seen a cricketer in my profession who gives better feedback than MS Dhoni,” Sharma added.
MS Dhoni has been on a sabbatical for a year now. The three-time IPL-winning captain was scheduled to make his comeback with the 13th edition of the cash-rich league but for the novel pandemic COVID-19 that forced the tournament, like many other things to get postponed.
