Kemar Roach Keen To Be Back in the Indian Premier League

Windies fast bowler Kemar Roach, who represented Sunrisers Hyderabad, is keen to be back in the prestigious T20 franchise league, Indian Premier League (IPL).

Meanwhile, Roach is currently in India with the Windies side taking part in the Test squad. However, he went back to his country due to the demise of his grandmother prior to the start of the first Test. Although he made himself available for the second Test, the management decided to leave him outside.

Kemar Roach, who had a tough few weeks is eager to get back his rhythm back and his side to do well. Moreover, he is also desperate to come back and feature in the cash-rich IPL.  Speaking about that experience, Windies cricketer Roach admitted that it was a learning curve for him working with legends.

“Of course, I want to play in the IPL. It’s the best T20 league in the world. I experienced it six or seven years ago [with Deccan Chargers]. It was a good experience as I played with the likes of VVS Laxman and Adam Gilchrist. I was young and I was learning my trade at that time.

“I never got a chance after that, but if I get a chance again, I would love to be a part of it. The atmosphere is just electrifying. I would love to come back to the IPL,” Kemar Roach said.

The speedster represented Deccan Chargers in just two matches during the 2010 edition of the league, however, failed to pick any wickets. However, now, with experience by his side, Roach can be a deadly option for any franchise in the IPL with his consistency over the speed.

Currently, Kemar Roach will aim to find a place in the national side after failing to make it for the second Test. Meanwhile, Windies have fought back well after some early blows to post a good total on the scoreboard.
