There is no doubt about the fact that the Natwest T20 blast is one of the sought after tournaments in the country and players from all across the globe make their presence felt in the tournament. It was Nottinghamshire who won the tournament last year beating Warwickshire by 22 runs helping them clinch the championship. Meanwhile, the 2018 edition of the tournament begins on the first week of July, and all the teams are putting their best yards to get their combination right.

The Kent Spitfires had a horrendous run last time around. They managed to win just 6 out of their 14 games. As a result, they finished 6th in the table of the South Group. As per reports in bbc.com, Kent has signed Adam Milne and Aussie all-rounder Marcus Stoinis for the upcoming edition of the tournament.

The Director of Kent Cricket, Paul Downton expressed his excitement at the signing of the Kiwi pacer and Stoinis. He expects both the players to become an integral part of the team.

“Bowlers of Adam’s pace and skill are rare and we believe he can be a match-winner for us in this format,” Downton was quoted as saying by the media.

Stoinis in the last few months has become an integral part of the Australian national team. He has already smashed some match-winning innings for his nation. The director heaped praises on Stoinis for the value he brings in to a T20 team. He is a fantastic hitter of the ball and a handy medium-pacer.

“Marcus is a dynamic cricketer who will add depth to our batting and bowling in the T20 Blast,” he added.

The all-rounder will join Kent ahead of their match against Sussex on 27th July and will be part of the side till the last group game against Essex on 17th August. Meanwhile, the Spitfires will play their first game against Surrey on 6th July. Milne will join Matt Henry as the 3rd overseas player to be signed for the upcoming edition of the T20 Blast.
