Andre Russell of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ended up with figures of 4/5 in the only over he bowled in his team’s IPL 2022 encounter against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the DY Patil Sports Academy Complex in Navi Mumbai on April 23, 2022.

GT came into this match being ranked second on the IPL 2022 points table while KKR was placed at the seventh spot. Gujarat Titans won the toss and Hardik Pandya became the first captain to choose to bat first. GT made one change as Pandya returned to the XI in place of Vijay Shankar.

However, Kolkata Knight Riders made quite a few changes, as Sam Billings came in for Aaron Finch, Tim Southee replaced Pat Cummins and Rinku Singh came in for Sheldon Jackson.

Then Wriddhiman Saha (25) and Hardik Pandya had a small partnership before Saha fell to Umesh Yadav.  Hardik Pandya completed his 3rd consecutive half-century in the ongoing IPL 2022, as he finished with 67 runs in 49 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.

David Miller made 27 runs and GT was looking good for a total in excess of 180 runs. However, KKR bowlers came good in the death overs as Tim Southee ended with 3/24 and Shivam Mavi also picked one wicket.
