KL Rahul and Jimmy Neesham were involved in a hilarious banter on Twitter on Wednesday after the third ODI between India and New Zealand at the Bay Oval on Tuesday. Both the players were involved in an altercation during the game.

It was the last delivery of the 20th over in the game when Jimmy Neesham came into the way of KL Rahul, who was trying to take a quick single. Not very surprisingly, KL Rahul looked unhappy and was seen having a word with the New Zealand star.

But the matter did not escalate as both the players shared a smile and let it go. And after the game ended, Jimmy Neesham took to Twitter to post a hilarious tweet about the incident. He took a picture from that banter and posted it on Twitter and captioned it, “Paper, scissors, rock?” In the picture, the hand gestures of the two players indeed appeared as if they were playing the popular game.

And few hours later, KL Rahul made sure to reply to the New Zealand ace who will be his teammate in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Both the players will play together for Kings XI Punjab. Coming to the reply, KL Rahul cheekily wrote:

“Let’s settle this in April. See u in a bit ??”

Meanwhile, New Zealand thrashed India by five wickets in the fifth ODI to seal the whitewash. Asked to bat first, India posted a challenging total of 296 for 7 in the allotted 50 overs. They were reeling at 62 for 3 at one stage before KL Rahul’s century and Shreyas Iyer’s half-century powered them to a good total.

However, the bowlers failed to deliver once again as New Zealand chased down the total inside 48 overs. Openers Martin Guptill and Henry Nicholls gave the hosts another flying start by sharing a century-plus stand. Both the players went on to score fifties. New Zealand did have some hiccup during the chase when they lost five wickets in quick succession before a 21-ball fifty from Colin de Grandhomme sealed the deal for them.
