KL Rahul is currently in a downward direction in his career graph. However, the flamboyant cricketer doesn’t want to let it loose, as he already started his hunt by delivering match-winning performances for his state team in the domestic tournaments. Amidst, he gave an interview to Crictracker, where he revealed the toughest bowlers, he ever faced in his cricketing career so far.

Currently, KL Rahul is out of the frame in Test format with Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal making things fall in place with fantastic knocks against South Africa. Rohit Sharma registered his second-highest score of 176 while Mayank Agarwal smashed a fantastic double century.

I found Pat Cummins very hard to face – KL Rahul

Coming back to the topic, KL Rahul, who hails from Bengaluru, quoted that he always found it tough facing Australia’s Pat Cummins. And also, he named the leg-spinner Rashid Khan, who got him quite a few times, whenever, the duo locked horns, either in International cricket or in Indian Premier League.

Despite being the quality player of spin, KL Rahul named Nathan Lyon as one of the toughest bowlers he ever faced, especially, in the Test format of the game. He concluded the question by naming Jasprit Bumrah in the same category and also called him as the tough competitor, who never lets anything loose for the batsmen.

”Pat Cummins who is the No.1 Test bowler right now. I found him very hard to face. Rashid Khan has always got the edge over me – he has my number a little bit. Nathan Lyon from Australia. All these guys and Bumrah of course. Facing him at training and a few games against him, he’s a competitor, he doesn’t give anything away,” KL Rahul said.

Further, KL Rahul expressed his confidence in Jasprit Bumrah quoting that he would deliver a lot for India in the upcoming few years as well. KL Rahul feels that Bumrah has got the fighting spirit in him, which will see him doing wonders for the Indian team.

”There’s no mercy for the guys who play for the country – he’s always very competitive. The things that he’s doing for the country right now are absolutely fantastic and I know he’s only going to grow and get better,” he added.

Currently, Jasprit Bumrah is in his recovering phase from back injury. On the other hand, KL Rahul is appearing for his state team in the ongoing domestic tournament.
