Former India batsman and chairman of selection committee Kris Srikkanth was shocked with the tactical blunder made by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). CSK lost the match by 10 runs but their were some questions raised during the match due to the poor decisions taken by MS Dhoni.

Chasing a below-par target of 168 runs, CSK lost in-form Faf du Plessis early. Shane Watson, however, continued on his good run as he notched up a half-century of 40 balls to put his side on the top. Ambati Rayudu also chipped in with important runs but MS Dhoni, who came in at No.4, struggled to score runs with ease.

CSK came close in the chase but lost the match by 10 runs. Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja played quick-fire cameos while Kedar Jadhav looked out of touch. Kris Srikkanth was shocked as all-rounder Dwayne Bravo did not get to bat in the chase. He also mentioned in his tweet that CSK need to finish the games as that has been a problem for them.

“Omg can’t believe this! Where was #bravo? Unbelievable, said it earlier @ChennaiIPL still need to finish! Well played @KKRiders brilliant bowling by russel and narine in the death! #CSKvsKKR #IPL2020,” Kris Srikkanth tweeted.

Dhoni has experimented with the batting line-up for CSK. While Faf du Plessis has been heavily relied on in the earlier matches, Shane Watson has also shown spark as he returned back to form. However, the middle-order woes still continue to mount for MS Dhoni and party in the IPL 2020.
