Krunal Pandya highlighted their preparation credited a one-month camp before arriving in the UAE where they spent together. The left-arm spinner believes that the month-long camp has helped them to get to know each other better. Hence, the performances in the field are the result of their full-fledged preparation ahead of the tournament.

I guess the preparation – that’s where we were very good. Before coming here, there was a camp for one month where all the players were together and were preparing for the tournament. In Mumbai, we were practising together. Everyone has been together for the last 3-4 months so it has helped as well to know each other individually. So whatever you see on the field is a result of the preparation that went going into the tournament,” Krunal Pandya told Times Now.

The 29-year old further said that Rohit Sharma backs the bowler to trust their strength, which is crucial for any bowler. According to Krunal, the ability not to complicate things is what makes the 33-year old a special captain.

His biggest quality is that he allows you to back your strength which is very important as a bowler. He doesn’t complicate things. He backs you to do whatever you do. That’s what makes him a special captain,” he added.
