Sri Lanka’s vital middle-order batsman, Kusal Perera is all set to miss the first Test of the two-match series against England starting from March 19. Perera suffered a blow to his middle finger of the right hand in the second T20 international against the West Indies last week.
However, he is now expected to return to the Lankan side in the second Test which will be played from March 27.

Sri Lanka had a dismal show against the West Indies in the T20 series as they were clean-swept by the Windies in the two-match series.
Kusal Perera Ruled Out Of The First Test Against England:
“Kusal’s finger is a minor bone disorder,” said Sri Lanka team manager Asantha de Mel. “It didn’t hurt the bone.”
Despite producing a Test innings for the ages in South Africa last year, Perera has not played in the longest format since August’s visit of New Zealand having skipped Zimbabwe matches.

Wanindu Hasaranga Ruled Out Of The Entire Test Series:
Wanindu Hasaranga will miss the whole series with a left hamstring problem which he sustained during the second T20 international against West Indies.
“The disability of Wanidu’s thigh is quite big,” added De Mel. “As a result, the doctors have advised him to rest for six weeks.”
Sri Lanka will take on England in a two-match Test series, the first game of which will begin from March 19 at Galle.
The second game of the series will take place from March 27 at Colombo.
