Bowling under pressure during the first T20I between Sri Lanka and the West Indies, in Pallekele, Malinga stopped a rampaging Russell with an inch-perfect signature yorker – to stamp his authority on the game.
Bowling in the 16th over of the Windies innings, the 38-year-old Malinga bowled one right at the base of the off-stump which proved too good for Russell who was striking the ball at a mindblowing 226.37.

West Indies Beat Sri Lanka By 25 Runs:
Although Malinga delivered the goods for Sri Lanka, the Lankan lions couldn’t get past West Indies in the first T20I of the two-match series as they were beaten by 25 runs.
Having won the toss, West Indies decided to bat first. They smashed the Lankan bowlers all around the park as they piled up a giant total of 196 runs in their 20 overs.

The chase was always an uphill for Sri Lanka as they were bundled out for 171 in 19.1 overs. The second game of the series will be played on March 6 at Pallekele.
