Making a debut for the national side is a dream come true for any budding cricketer. In fact, if the player goes on to make his debut at the World Cup stage, it adds extra pressure on the young player. However, if the player is able to stand tall to the challenge and he comes up with a fine performance, it adds a cherry to the top of the cake.

Till date, there are only 14 batsmen who have scored centuries on their World Cup debut. These players were able to hit the ground running and they showed that they were unfazed by the big World Cup stage. In fact, it must have been a really special feeling when the batsman scores a century on his debut. And if that hundred comes in the World Cup event, it manifolds the excitement.
