You won’t often see a player coming out to the field for a practice with a mask on his face. However, the International Stadium in Delhi Named Feroz Shah Kotla, which is termed as ”Iconic”, has witnessed such instances for a couple of times now. In the latest, it was Bangladesh’s Liton Das, who practised with a mask to his face.
Do you remember Sri Lanka cricketers playing the Test match in Delhi with a Mask on their face? The situation in Delhi still remains the same, as the air is being polluted on a regular basis because of the outlets from the vehicles and big industries in the state.

Air Quality Index On Thursday was 427:
With people celebrating Diwali with crackers and fireworks on Sunday night, toxic fumes once again enveloped the Capital. Many areas in Delhi recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 999, beyond which reading is not possible, on Diwali night. The prescribed limit is 60.
On Thursday, when AQI was reading 427, Bangladesh player was seen wearing anti-pollution mask while training on Thursday ahead of the T20I match between India and Bangladesh in Delhi. Earlier, it was Sri Lankan Team, who played with the similar masks in a Test match.

It was earlier reported that Rohit Sharma-led Team India is planning to train indoors in the lead-up to the 1st T20I. India are expected to train between 2 pm and 5 pm on November 1 and November 2 but both those sessions could turn into optional.
Amidst this, the BCCI President Sourav Ganguly confirmed that the 1st T20I between India and Bangladesh at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi will go ahead as per schedule and the match will not be shifted to any other venue despite alarming air pollution level in the national capital.
Despite that, the cricket lovers in Delhi aren’t going to miss the clash, as the tickets have already been selling out quickly. A decent house is expected for the first T20I clash.
