Sakshi Dhoni, the wife of MS Dhoni, has revealed that she didn’t approve of the long and orange hairstyle which the Indian wicket-keeper used to keep in his early international days. Dhoni and Sakshi tied the knot on July 4, 2010- about a year before winning the 2011 World Cup. They have a daughter, Ziva, who was born on 6th February 2015.

Sakshi, who celebrated her 32nd birthday on Thursday, said that fortunately, she didn’t see Dhoni will get the long orange-coloured hair. She said that she might have not even looked at him for that orange colour in his hair. Sakshi opined that the long hair suited better on Dhoni’s friend and Bollywood actor, Joh Abraham.

The rise of the actor and the cricketer coincided. John became amongst the popular actors in 2004 after the release of his movie, Dhoom, and around the same time, Dhoni’s made it into the national team. Both the superstars have done few advertisements together and over the course became good friends.

In a video uploaded on Chennai Super Kings’s Twitter handle, Sakshi said, “Luckily I didn’t see him with that long hair. If I had met him when he had that orange long hair I wouldn’t even have looked at him.

“There has to be aesthetics. It suited on John but Mahi with long hair and orange colour on top was like…(rolls her eyes).”

MS Dhoni is the only captain to win all three ICC trophies.

MS Dhoni is largely responsible for the success Indian cricket has over the last decade and a half. He was made the captain of the T20 team out of the blue. Dhoni-led India to the 2007 T20 World Cup title in South Africa and then won the 2011 World Cup in India.

The Ranchi-born took his side to the 2013 Champions Trophy victory by defeating England in the final and became the first – and is still – the only captain in the history of the game to win all three major ICC trophies.

Under Dhoni, the Indian achieved the number rank in ICC Test rankings in 2009 and stayed there for over a year. In the IPL, the wicket-keeper batsman has three trophies to his name along with two Champions League titles while leading Chennai Super Kings.

Dhoni is considered the greatest finisher in limited-overs cricket this game has ever seen. He is an idol for the small-town people who aspire to dream big and conquer their goals.

In IPL 2020, under Dhoni, CSK failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in the history of the tournament. The captain has confirmed that he will play the next season.
