Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is still to earn a Baggy Green for himself. He has featured in 41 ODIs, scoring 1050 runs at an average over 33, with six half-centuries and one century to his name. The right-handed batsman has also picked up 33 wickets in the format. Stoinis has an average of 15 and picked up nine wickets in the T20Is.

However, despite facing the contract snub for the 2020-21 season, Stoinis is contended to earn the baggy green for Australia. Stoinis believes that he sees himself playing Test cricket for Australia in near future. He also added that he wants to return in the limited-overs set up and also wants to play in  the top franchise leagues in the world.

“I still see myself wanting to play Test cricket for Australia, one-day cricket for Australia, T20 cricket for Australia. I want to go to the IPL, I want to play Big Bash, I want to play for Western Australia, I want to win a (Sheffield) Shield title with Western Australia,” Stoinis told cricket.com.au.

Stoinis made his last international appearance in July last year and since then has not been a part of the team. Stoinis lost his place in the limited-overs to Marnus Labuschagne, after the later delivered some significant performances in Test cricket. Later, Stoinis also faced the central contract snub but remains determined to make a comeback to the side.

Stoinis averages over 33 in first-class cricket. He has 66 wickets to his name as well.
