Former England and Australian legendary players Mark Waugh and Michael Vaughan laud Prithvi Shaw and join in the list of his admirers.  They both impressed with the way Shaw batted against Windies bowlers. Further, they took themselves a time to give their accolades for the youngster.

Earlier in the day, the Mumbaikar became the 293rd player to make the Test debut for India. Prithvi Shaw went to knock a stunning century on his debut Test match thus showing his class to the world.

The former English batsman quoted that India has got another superstar in the international arena. Meanwhile, the Australian, Mark Waugh replied Michael Vaughan terming Shaw as the mix of Brian Lara and Sachin Tendulkar.

The 18-year-old Prithvi was very fluent during his whirlwind knock. He never let himself back in going after the Windies bowling. Shaw always made full advantage of the poor deliveries that came on his way during the course.

Michael Vaughan’s tweet read  ”Wow .. 18 yrs old Prithvi .. Test 100 on debut .. Looks like India have another superstar that has arrived on the scene !!!” Meanwhile, the former Australian replied quoting ”Great prospect. Cross between B.Lara and Sachin Tendulkar.”

However, receiving the accolades from the greatest of the games is an icing on the cake for his fantastic day so far. It was not only from Vaughan or Waugh but also Prithvi Shaw received praises across the cricket fraternity.

Finally, after knocking a scintillating century, Prithvi Shaw walked back to the hut when he gave a return catch to Devendra Bishoo on 134. His stroke-filled knock numbered as many as 19 boundaries in it.

However, it has been a great day for Prithvi Shaw at the office on his first day. Meanwhile, it is interesting to watch how Shaw carries his career from now on after so much of hype.
