Veteran Indian off-spinner, Amit Mishra has reportedly been ruled out of IPL 2020 following the injury he sustained in the game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Delhi Capitals took on Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 16 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) at the Sharjah International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Batting first, Delhi Capitals posted a gigantic total of 228/4 in the first innings. Shreyas Iyer and Prithvi Shaw smashed massive half-centuries in the game to ensure that their team posted a giant total in the first innings of the game. Later, Kolkata Knight Riders failed to chase the humungous total as they ended up at 210/8 in their 20 overs.

In the same match, veteran Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra sustained an injury in his second over of the innings. In an effort to catch the ball off hsi own delivery, Amit Mishra hurt his fingers and looked in serious agony. Though Amit Mishra looked in serious pain after the injury, he continued to bowl in the over.

On Monday, certain media reports emerged that Amit Mishra has been ruled out of IPL 2020 following the injury and soon, his replacement will be announced by the DC management. Veteran Indian journalist, Aakash Chopra also affirmed to the reports via his Twitter account.

Mishra couldn’t complete his quota of 4 overs after being injured in the game against KKR and bowled only 2 overs in that game. On Monday, Delhi Capitals will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and if the reports are true, then this will be a massive blow for Delhi Capitals.
