The name of former World-Cup winning captain of Pakistan, Imran Khan has always surrounded with controversies.
Be it with the obscene messages of his on-field notoriety; the Pakistani cricketer turned politician has an affinity towards new controversies.
It was only recently that Imran Khan’s marriage controversy with his spiritual guide Bushra Maneka, also known as Pinki Pir, took centre stage.
The deadly bowler in his prime is yet again within the folds of the limelight due to his morphed image on Lord Shiva, which hurt sentiments of both Hindu’s and Muslim’s.
As a matter of fact, the image was used for propagandising his political agenda and therefore even did rounds in the Pakistani parliament.
“Such posts have deeply hurt the religious sentiments of more than four million Hindus living in Pakistan. Such offences were covered by cyber laws and should not remain unpunished,” honorary Speaker of Pakistan Parliament spoke.
If reports are to be believed, the morphed image was uploaded by a Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) enthusiast about seven days back.
Although it took a while for the image to get reckoning initially, it spread like wildfire once it caught momentum.
These images were found on various social media pages, namely, We Love Nawaz Sharif’ and ‘Shahbaz Sharif’ even though the reason is still unknown.
Shortly after, the picture received a substantial amount of flak amongst the citizens of Pakistan who are off the opinion that it is against the fundamentals of Islam.
In fact, the masses demand the ‘cyber wing’ to take instant action to get these pictures off the internet. The sentiments of the Hindus in Pakistan were also deeply hurt. Many criticised the government for these kinds of posts.
Here’s a look at how Twitter unleashed its wrath
