Abhay Negi breaks record-books with dazzling fifty

KL Rahul scored a fifty off 14 balls for Kings XI Punjab against Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in IPL 2018 at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. Meghalaya’s innings finished at 207 for the loss of only four wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Abhay remained unbeaten at 50 off just 15 balls while Dwaraka Ravi Teja played an excellent hand too, scoring 53 off 31 deliveries.

The 27-old’s whirlwind knock of fifty comprised of six maximums and two boundaries. In reply to Meghalaya’s 207, Mizoram gave a tough fight to the target; however, fell well short of the goal. Mizoram ended their innings at 182 for the loss of two wickets as Meghalaya emerged victorious by 25 runs. Speaking of his knock, Negi said that he knew he wanted to make the most of his opportunity and went in to bat with a free mind by keeping things simple.
