Former England skipper Michael Vaughan took to micro-blogging site Twitter, to express his views about Team India’s recent performances. He further spoke about the crisis that the team is going through. In the last two World Cups, Team India has been eliminated from the competition in the Knockout stage. In 2015, India lost to Australia in the semi-final. Besides, in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, India were eliminated by New Zealand in the semis.

Vaughan has come up with a tweet reflecting India’s woes at the moment. The former English cricketer also said that India lacks a disciplined and consistent middle-order. He believes that if India finds a solution to this problem, it can lift the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Michael Vaughan Hopeful of India Responding in Style:

India are currently hosting Australia for a three-match ODI series. In the first game of the series, Australia brutally thrashed India by 10 wickets. India were outplayed in all the aspects of the game. India’s batting was below standard and no batsman other than Shikhar Dhawan displayed his true potential. Indian bowlers seemed helpless and they couldn’t claim a single wicket.

Meanwhile, India and Australia are battling it out in the second ODI of the series on Friday in Rajkot. India needs to win this game at all costs to fight for the series. Captain Virat Kohli is expected to make certain changes in the squad. Vaughan is hopeful of India making a string coming back in the series.
