Mickey Arthur tags Imad Wasim as the possible successor for Sarfraz Ahmed

Pakistan Head Coach, Mickey Arthur, went on the record to claim that Pakistan all-rounder, Imad Wasim, has what it takes to take over the reigns of captaincy from Sarfraz Ahmed in the future.
The UK-born Pakistani cricketer is currently leading the Karachi Kings in the third edition of the Pakistan Super League. After a brilliant start to the tournament, their campaign took a massive dip. The Kings won the first three games of the competition.

The absence of Pakistani stalwart Shahid Afridi comes in as a massive blow to their campaign this season. Afridi sustains an injury to his left knee which curtailed his season short.

Karachi Kings, now languish at the bottom end of the table after starting off the season on a high. Wasim’s captaincy will now come under scrutiny during this edition of PSL.Wasim leads a pack full of stars such as Joe Denly, Ravi Bopara, Tymal Mills, Mohammad Amir and Colin Ingram.

Coach Mickey Arthur, Head Coach Mickey Arthur believes he is going to stick with Sarfraz Ahmed in the foreseeable future. The captain-coach duo of Sarfraz and Mickey Arthur, helped them lift the coveted Champions Trophy in England.
However, the coach of Karachi Kings, as well as the Pakistan team, Arthur, believes he sees a captain in Imad Wasim. PCB lynchpin Najam Sethi agreed with Arthur.

“In future Imad Wasim probably can be Pakistan’s captain. But Saffy (Sarfraz) is entrenched in of all forms of the game. As long as I am coaching PakistanI am going to have Sarfraz Ahmed with me,” claimed Mickey Arthur according to Business Recorder.
“Imad Wasim is in my eye as somebody who can lead Pakistan in future,” commented Najam Sethi during the unveiling ceremony of PSL.
