Ritu Phogat, the Indian wrestler turned MMA fighter, has opened up about her inspiration amongst cricketers — and it is none other than India and Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) skipper, Virat Kohli.
Over the years, Virat Kohli has become an inspiration for not just cricketers, but athletes around the globe in terms of fitness. The Indian captain has set high standards of fitness and gives his all on the field and in the gym, which has led Ritu Phogat to draw inspiration from Kohli.

The One Championship star says she is a big fan of the RCB skipper and whenever she isn’t training she watches Bangalore’s matches in the IPL. She hails Kohli’s style of playing as smooth and pure.
Virat Kohli has been putting videos of his training during the lockdown, which has given immense motivation to her. She is also a fan of Kohli’s never give up attitude and his 100% commitment on the field.
While speaking to Star Sports’ show ‘Cricket Live’, Ritu Phogat said, “When it comes to cricket and IPL, I am a really big Virat Kohli fan. Whenever I get time off from training, I watch his team RCB’s matches and fully support them. I find Virat Kohli’s style of playing very smooth & pure, and I like that a lot. He never gives up and always gives his 100% on the field, I find that very inspiring.”
“I am inspired and feel motivated by Virat Kohli’s training videos on social media. I support and cheer for Virat Kohli’s team RCB and I hope you all will give me your support and cheer for me this Friday,” she added.
Ritu has taken the One Championship by storm and has been making India proud. She will be up against Cambodia’s Nou Srey Pov in her next match-up later this month. Meanwhile, RCB is sitting comfortably at the second position in the IPL points table. They will face MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings on Sunday in Dubai.
