Perhaps the tallest fast bowler in world cricket, Mohammad Irfan has stated he is fully fit and ready to resolve the bowling woes of Pakistan if provided with an opportunity to represent the national team again.
I am ready to end Pakistan’s bowling woes – Irfan
During an interview with the Nation, Irfan revealed he was never dropped from the team on the basis of his form. Rather he had to make way because of the injury issues. He thanked almighty for making him fully fit again so that he can yet again deliver for the national team.
“I was never dropped from the team on the basis of performances, instead it was my fitness issues due to which I am out of the national squad. But thanks to Almighty, I am recovered now and fully fit to deliver for the national team. My performances in the domestic circuit and international leagues are good enough to prove my claims,” Irfan was quoted as saying by the National.

Mohammad Irfan said he has improved in fitness and fielding
Irfan stated he has drastically improved in his fitness skills as well as fielding. He stated that experience is always the key to success for any sportsperson.
“There is no doubt that experience is key to success and no matter how fit you are, if you don’t have skills and ability to produce wonders for the team, your super fitness is good for nothing.”
“I have been playing cricket for last several years, and whenever I was given opportunity, I not only pressurized the opponents through my sharp bowling but also took wickets at the time of need. I think the current coach has adopted the policy of providing opportunities to youngsters, but he should also keep in mind that there is no comparison and replacement of senior players.”
Fit-again Irfan rearing to go
He mentioned the name of veteran cricketer Shoaib Malik who single-handedly won the match for Pakistan against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2018.
Irfan feels if a veteran player like Shoaib Malik is added in the team, he gives a whole new dimension. He said the team should consist of a perfect blend of youth and experienced players.

“Look what Shoaib Malik has been doing single-handedly for the team during the Asia Cup. If a veteran like him in the team haven’t included in the national team, it could hardly manage to post decent scores. The selectors and team management must understand the importance of a balanced team, which should be a blend of experience and youth,” he added.
