Mohammad Kaif Faces the Wrath of Indian Fans After Praising Fakhar Zaman

Former Indian batsman Mohammad Kaif faced the venom of Indian fans after he praised Pakistan opener, Fakhar Zaman. Kaif had taken to his micro-blogging website Twitter for hailing the southpaw.

Kaif had congratulated the Pakistan team after they won the Twenty20 International series against Australia.

As top-order batsman Zaman had also scored a century against India in the Champions Trophy grand finale, last year, Kaif also termed the left-hander, a ‘big match’ player.

Fakhar Zaman was on fire in the T20I series:

Meanwhile, Zaman was in fine form in the recently concluded tri-series. In fact, the left-handed ended as the second highest run-getter in the series with 278 runs in five matches.

Furthermore, he also scored a fine 91 off just 46 balls in the final of the series. Thus, he was named as the Man of the Match in the final as well as the Player of the series.

In fact, Zaman’s superb form helped him in moving up the ladder in the rankings.

Aggressive batsman Zaman was able to occupy the second place in the latest ICC T20I rankings.

However, Kaif’s praise for Pakistan and Zaman didn’t go down well with the Indian fans. The fans lashed out at Kaif.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is in fine form in the shortest format of the game. Subsequently, they went on to win their ninth consecutive series in the T20I version. Thus, they are at the summit of the ICC T20I rankings.

Pakistan will now play a five-match ODI series against hosts Zimbabwe. The first One-dayer will commence on 13 July at Bulawayo.
