Mohammad Saifuddin, the talented Bangladesh fast bowler, has thrown up an interesting challenge to his compatriot and probably the greatest-ever cricketer that Bangladesh has ever produced, Shakib Al Hasan.
With cricket activities on a screeching halt due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, cricketers throwing challenges to their compatriots have become a norm.
Joining the bandwagon, Saifuddin took to his verified Facebook account where he challenged Shakib to score 22 runs off his two overs.
“Today I threw a challenge towards Shakib bhai. I will bowl two overs and Shakib bhai needs to at least score 22 runs. Interestingly, Shakib bhai has already accepted my challenge,” Mohammad Saifuddin wrote in his Facebook post.
“Even though Shakib bhai has more followers than me, I am still seeking prayers for me. I will celebrate the return of Shakib bhai in a few days after cricket returns following the coronavirus halt,” wrote Mohammad Saifuddin.

Mohammad Saifuddin also went on to reveal that Shakib Al Hasan has duly accepted the challenge
Shakib Al Hasan is currently serving a 12-month ban for his failure to report the advances made to him by the bookmakers on two separate occasions.
Shakib recently opened up about the whole saga during a freewheeling chat with Harsha Bhogle on CricBuzz where he said that he took the approach made by the corruptors casually, and had he not told the ICC Anti-Corruption unit the entire matter, he would have been banned for 5 or 10 years.
“I took the approaches too casually. When I met the anti-corruption guy and told them and they knew everything,” Shakib Al Hasan was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
“Gave them all the evidence and they knew everything that happened… To be honest, that’s the only reason I was banned for a year, otherwise, I’d have been banned for five or 10 years.” he added.
