Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Rajiv Shukla on Wednesday said that they are waiting for the reports Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Anti-Corruption Unit head Niraj Kumar.

Meanwhile, Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai handed the case to ACU and asked him to submit the reports within seven days. He is likely to present his reports in one or two days.

Meanwhile, the Mohammed Shami-Hasin Jahan episode continues to get suspicious with each passing day. Meanwhile, on March 7, Shami’s wife, Hasin brought an array of accusations against the India pacer.

Hasin charged paceman Shami with domestic violence and extra-marital affairs. In a series of claims made by her last week, she also claimed Shami had fixed matches. Moreover, filed a written complaint against Shami.

Kolkata Police has booked Shami under various non-bailable and bailable sections of the IPC; including Section 498A, which deals with cruelty to a woman by her husband or his relatives, Section 307 – attempt to murder, Section 323 – punishment for voluntarily causing hurt, Section 376 – rape, Section 506 – criminal intimidation, Section 328 and Section 34.

However, Shami had dismissed all the allegations and urged for a thorough investigation into the allegations. He also said it is a conspiracy to ruin his career.

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India didn’t extend Shami’s central contract. Also, his IPL career, which starts from April 7 remains in jeopardy. Delhi Daredevils roped in the pacer for this edition.

Let us not jump to conclusions: Rajiv Shukla

Rajiv Shukla urged people not to jump to conclusion and they are still awaiting the reports from BCCI ACU head.

I spoke to Niraj Kumar and the investigations are on. As we have not received the report, we should not jump to conclusions,” Shukla said.

Meanwhile, Shukla announced Tata Nexon as the official partner of the Indian Premier League yesterday at BCCI headquarters.

We are only concerned with things which come under anti-corruption charges. The BCCI and IPL are not concerned about his personal life,” Shukla concluded.
