It seems like tough times continues for Mohammed Shami. After going through a horrible phase in life early this year, the fast bowler once again summoned to Kolkata Court in a check bounce issue. Once again, it is his wife, who lodged a complaint against him. Meanwhile, Shami is already carrying multiple cases that were kept by his wife.

In a case of failure to attend the court personally, Shami can be issued an arrest warrant as well. Though Shami tried to deal the issue without appearing on the court, the judge isn’t impressed with the plea thus asked the cricketer to appear on January 15th, 2019.

Mohammed Shami might get arrested:

Shami’s wife, Hasin Jahan filed the case under NI Act after the cricketerhad allegedly stopped payment of a cheque which he had given to her for monthly expenses.

The court delivered the judgement after a marital dispute occurred between the two, following which they were residing separately. Shami accepted to pay the expenses of her daughter but not for his wife, Hasin.

Initially, the court asked Mohammed Shami to be present in the court on Tuesday (November 13th), but the cricketer failed to attend. Further, they extended the time to Wednesday, where Shami once again neglected to follow the rules.

Meanwhile, Shami lawyer, SK Salim Rahaman pleaded the Judge through the council. The judge, however, said the law was the same for everyone and directed Shami to appear personally on January 15, 2019.

The court said failure on the part of Shami to appear before the court on the stated date might invite issuance of arrest warrant against him.

On the work front, Mohammed Shami recently got axed for his poor performance in the Windies ODI series. However, he got included in the Test squad for Australia Tests, which begins on December 6th in Adelaide.
