The proliferation of the coronavirus has proceeded to put the entire world under a lockdown. Almost every facet of life has been affected by the contagion that originated from the Wuhan city of China last year. And, so with no cricket taking place, cricketers from around the world are resorting to a plethora of different activities to keep themselves engaged.

While some of them are honing their cooking skills besides spending valuable time with the family, others are taking to social media to engage with fans via the Question-Answer session.

Bangladesh Test captain Mominul Haque, on the other hand, is using this time to watch his idol Sachin Tendulkar and the highlights of the classic India-Pakistan encounter of the 1990s besides meditating and mentally visualizing batting.

“I am a little desperate about not being able to practice properly but I am not very worried about it as I am trying to bat via visualization and meditation and it certainly helps. Otherwise, I am running and my fitness is going well. I hardly watch my own match highlights. I’ve been watching a lot of Sachin Tendulkar. I also watch the Tests, ODI highlights and the rivalry between India and Pakistan from the 90s,” Mominul Haq was quoted as saying by CricBuzz.

The entire world is going through unprecedented times with COVID-19 wrecking havoc. People are forced to self-isolate but Mominul is pretty optimistic that matches will happen at a convenient time and there is no point in fretting over staying indoors.

“Look no one is responsible for what is happening now so I feel there is no point losing my sleep over it. I am an optimistic guy and always try to think positively in every situation. This is part of the ICC Test Championship, so they will have to play. If they don’t play then it will not be good for them and also for us. Matches will take place again in a convenient time so there is nothing to be frustrated about.” he added.
