MS Dhoni is putting in the hard yards ahead of the IPL 2020. He wants to make it count, as always, for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Dhoni had begun preparing for the IPL 2020 early although it was disrupted due to the Covid-19 situation in India. After arriving in UAE for the tournament, MS Dhoni was seen practicing hard.
In what looked to be a inter-squad warm-up game, MS Dhoni dispatched one out the park, with sheer power to leave opener Murali Vijay stunned. The execution is well document by CSK and has been posted on their Twitter handle. “Ball lost?” – asks CSK team manager Russell Radhakrishnan while recording the video as a fielder goes to fetch it.
Vijay then asks Russell if he thinks it was all power from Dhoni, who is known for his huge sixes. “Is it power Russ, is it power,” asks Vijay. “I don’t know, you tell me,” responds Russell. “Beautiful timing, bat speed, swing it’s gifted. Can’t do much better,” says Vijay as he throws the ball back towards the bowler for the game to resume.
