MS Dhoni to lead Chennai Super Kings again:

Dhoni will make his comeback to the game through IPL after being unavailable for India since the conclusion of the ICC World Cup 2019.

The star cricketer was expected to play in the home series against Australia but the former Indian skipper extended his sabbatical leave to remain unavailable for the Indian team.

The upcoming season is going to be a massive platform for Dhoni to showcase his skills with the bat for India. If he can pull off one more good season under his belt, Dhoni will certainly be in the scheme of things for the ICC T20I World Cup 2020.

CSK has been one of the most dominant teams in the IPL. The Dhoni-led side won the trophy thrice in 2010, 2011 and 2018 while making it to the knockouts in all nine seasons that they have been part of the competition. They will once again enter the upcoming edition of the tournament under the leadership of Dhoni.

The new edition of IPL will see a few new players wearing the CSK outfit. CSK invested heavily in experienced spinner Piyush Chawla at the auction, last year, spending INR 6.75 crores for the former Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) leg-spinner.

The franchise also bought England all-rounder Sam Curran for INR 5.5 crores along with Aussie seamer Josh Hazlewood for INR 2 crore. The franchise bought uncapped spinner R Sai Kishore for INR 20 lakhs.
