MS Dhoni Faces Punishment From BCCI As Sakshi Dhoni Attends World Cup Clash
India star MS Dhoni might land in hot waters for flouting BCCI orders in the ongoing World Cup as his wife Sakshi Dhoni watched Team India’s World Cup-opener against South Africa on Wednesday. As per the rules, the wives and family members of Indian players are allowed to stay with the cricketers for a 15-day period and that too 21 days after team India’s first match.
Consequently, the players were not allowed to invite their wives before June 26. However, Sakshi Dhoni enjoyed India’s win in Southampton. Sakshi herself took to Instagram to post some photos from the match on her Instagram story. Interestingly, this is the first time Sakshi’s presence in England has become public. Prior to her Instagram story, there were absolutely no news of her accompanying Dhoni in England.

India thrash South Africa:
Talking about the game, India beat South Africa by six wickets. Asked to bowl first, India restricted South Africa to a modest 227 for 9 with Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal starring with the ball. Bumrah picked up two early wickets before Chahal ran through the middle-order and picked up four wickets.
In reply, India started poorly and lost Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli cheaply. However, Rohit Sharma remained till the end and scored an unbeaten century to take India home in the 48th over. The right-handed batsman was struggling at the start but soon found his rhythm and put India on top. He was well supported by the likes of KL Rahul and MS Dhoni before Hardik Pandya‘s quickfire cameo ended the game.
