Of late, there are a lot of debates are being carried out in India for the number 4 position in Indian National Cricket Team, especially, in ODI format of the game. Meanwhile, the former Indian fast bowler Ashish Nehra joins the bandwagon to express his opinion out. He firmly believes that MS Dhoni is the person to sort India troubles at number 4.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni played a brilliant hand in the 2nd T20I game alongside Virat Kohli at Chinnaswamy Stadium. And also, he was the unbeaten batsman for India in the first T20I, which helped India to put a respectable total on the board.
I am never worried about MS Dhoni’s form – Ashish Nehra
The flamboyant cricketer quoted that the presence of MS Dhoni at number 4 would be a great thing for India. He believes that Dhoni can anchor the innings for the team in both first and second innings of the game. He even backs MS Dhoni to bat at number 4 in T2oI games as well.

Further, he went on to add saying that a batsman like Mahendra Singh Dhoni will never ever lose his form with the bat. Nehra wants to make most of the Dhoni’s batting by playing him at number 4. He also highlighted the experience factor of Dhoni, who can deal pressure with ease.
”I am someone who never worried about the form of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. We all know what he can do. For me, Dhoni is someone who can bat at number four even in ODI cricket. He is the best option to play at number 4,” the former fast bowler of India quoted while speaking to CricketNext.

”Looking at the other options, no disrespect to other players, they all are very good but Dhoni is someone who can actually anchor the innings. Even in T20I games, the way he played alongside Virat Kohli, he showed what he can do. And, that is not the first time, he has done like that,” Ashish Nehra inferred.
Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for India in the major event. Most Probably, Indian management might ask Dhoni to play at number 5, as Ambati Rayudu showed his brilliance at number 4 against Kiwis.
