Indian cricketing legend, Sachin Tendulkar backed veteran, MS Dhoni who is currently out of form and couldn’t put up some good show with his bat in the recently-concluded ODI series against the Windies. Meanwhile, MS Dhoni is a world-cup winning captain and has three ICC trophies in his cabinet as well. The not-so-impressive performance in England ODIs had attracted some strong words of criticism from former greats like Sunil Gavaskar and Sourav Ganguly.

However, India has had a few troubles when it comes to batting. It was for the top-order batsmen like Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and Virat Kohli that India is getting runs. Though if all of them fails, the men in blue rely on MS Dhoni, but he has been failing on a regular basis to discard that purpose.

Moreover, India is nearing towards the 2019 World Cup, and MS Dhoni needs to improve his batting to cement his place. However, Sachin Tendulkar feels Dhoni as a cricketer knows what he exactly needs to do and what to contribute.

“Dhoni has always been a massive contributor, whenever it came to all formats of the game, and he’s taken the responsibility for a number of years. I always feel that a player having played for such a long time knows what he needs to work on and what he needs to do.” Sachin Tendulkar speaks exclusively to News18.

Furthermore, MS Dhoni has a lot of experience under his back. Virat Kohli along with Rohit Sharma also take his ideas, as and when required on the field. Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced squads for Tests, T20Is against Australia and MS Dhoni didn’t find his name on the list for the shorter format.
