MS Dhoni Owns Lasith Malinga In The IPL: Scott Styris

New Zealand great Scott Styris recently hailed his former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) teammate, MS Dhoni, as the best finisher. Also, Styris added that he had dominated accomplished bowlers such as Lasith Malinga who is often regarded as the best pacer in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Styris, who played 12 matches for CSK gave his take on Dhoni versus Malinga debate, while also explaining how the Chennai based franchise is better than Mumbai Indians (MI). However, Malinga’s team has won the most number of IPL titles.
The 44-year-old also highlighted Super Kings’ consistency in the IPL, while also pointing out that they groomed the most number of uncapped players for India.

Scott Styris feels MS Dhoni owns Lasith Malinga in IPL:
Speaking on Star Sports’ new show Cricket Connected, Styris opined that when MS Dhoni, is widely recognised as one of best finishers. He is there to face off one of the most lethal bowlers in limited-overs, Lasith Malinga. Quite often it is the batsman who comes out on top, in the IPL.
He said, “It’s about the best finisher in the game against the best finisher bowler. Dhoni vs Malinga and Dhoni owns Malinga.”
The cricketer-turned-commentator also lavished praise on his former IPL side, while revealing four reasons why they are better than the Mumbai Indians.
Scott Styris compares Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians:
While the Chennai based outfit has won the IPL on three occasions, they finished as runners-up five times in the 12-year-old illustrious history of the cash-rich league, and Styris was quick to point out the incredible consistency of the Super Kings.
He stated, “I’ve got four points. It’s about consistency, CSK have never missed the final series, have won the most knockout matches, it’s the expectation and reliance on these IPL teams to produce Indian players and CSK have produced the most uncapped players for India and it’s a real desire that they have to continue to develop players in that regard.”
