Of late, the flamboyant batsman Colin Ingram has become the impact player in the domestic circuit. His Kolpak deal has been the most successful of all, as he enjoyed greater success in the English county.

Meanwhile, he recently suffered from a mystery illness. Ingram found it hard to breath when he was relaxing at his home and was eventually, rushed to admit in the hospital.

There’s a lot of question marks at the moment – Colin Ingram

The former South African quoted he is still unsure about the problem he is carrying. Colin Ingram was admitted to the clinic and was told that it is some sort of auto-immune cause that could have built up over a length of time.

Ingram went on say he was asked to wait to rejoin his side in the Natwest T20 Blast. As the game has a Drug-free rule, the stylish southpaw has to wait to bring out all the medications injected in him.

“Most of the specialists I’ve spoken to feel it’s some sort of auto-immune cause that could have built up over a length of time, or just triggered by something small. It’s great to be happy and healthy again and to have made a full recovery so far. There’s a lot of question marks at the moment,” he told BBC Sports Wales.

“Some of the things they gave me when I was hospitalised were necessary to revive me but had to be cleared by Drug-Free Sport, so I’m thankful to the medical team and the work they put in as well,” Colin Ingram said.

Glamorgan dent with a clutter of injuries:

Apart from Colin Ingram, the Glamorgan side also lost the services of Australians, Shaun Marsh and Usman Khawaja. Both of them started their season well but was unfortunate to pick up an injury.

Despite the injuries, the team has done well with the available players. They managed to win three victories in a row to remain fifth on South Group points table.

However, it would be interesting to see how Glamorgan will make the most of the remaining chances to seal the berth in the next level of the tourney.
