Najam Sethi Slams Rumours of PSL Postponement

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi has slammed the rumours regarding the postponement of the upcoming Pakistan Super League, the domestic T20 tournament of Pakistan and revealed that the tournament is firmly on track and will be played as per schedule. Taking to his twitter handle, the PCB chief clarified that the 3rd season of PSL is well on track.
“PSL3 is firmly on track. First match in Dubai on February 22 and final in Karachi on March 25. Promo campaign [is] about to kick off,” he wrote.
A few days back reports emerged that the 3rd edition of the domestic T20 tournament could well be in doubt due to the 5 of the 6 franchises failing to make their required payments to the board. The deadline given to clear the payment was 15th November 2017.
According to the schedule of the tournament, PSL is all set to kick off on 22nd February with the final of the tournament scheduled to be played on 25th March. The defending champions of the tournament, Peshawar Zalmi will face newcomers Multan Sultans in the opening match of the tournament. The franchises have already started their preparations for the tournament with a month still to go everybody is gearing up to get their best possible combinations for their franchise.
