Bangladesh selectors have given the uncapped left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed the nod for the two T20Is against Zimbabwe – slated to take place on the 9th and 11th of March respectively. Both the T20Is would be played in Dhaka. Nasum bagged six wickets from 13 matches – while playing for Chattogram Challengers, who made it to the second qualifier before being knocked out.
All in all, the left-arm spinner Nasum has snared eight wickets in 17 fixtures at a reasonable economy rate of 7.25.

The selectors have also recalled the likes of wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim – and all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin. Both of the key players missed the T20I series in Pakistan, in which the hosts beat the Tigers by a scoreline of 0-2.
However, Mohammad Mithun and Rubel Hossain faced the axe while Najmul Hossain Shanto’s finger injury forced him out of the series.
“We had to offload Mithun and Rubel as we included Mushfiq and Saifuddin. Shanto is out injured.” chief selector Minhajul Abedin said as quoted by ESPN Cricinfo.
Bangladesh had done well against Zimbabwe so far:
Presently, Bangladesh are leading the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe—by a margin of 2-0 while also winning the lone Test contested in Dhaka.
The home side won the first ODI by a whopping margin of 169 runs while the African nation fell short by four runs in pursuit of 323 in the second.
The third ODI will get underway on 6th of March after which the two sides would square off in the T20Is.
