The COVID-19 pandemic has not only sabotaged the sporting schedule but affected cricketers’ personal lives. In retrospect, Katherine Brunt and Natalie Sciver are not the only ones from the cricketing world to have their marriages deferred. The likes of Adam Zampa, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Swepson, Jackson Bird, D’Arcy Short, Alister Mcdermott, Andrew Tye, Jess Jonassen, and Katelyn Fryett also join the list.
The two English cricketers want to have their family, friends, and teammates involved in their happiest moments. Hence, they have announced that they are going to wait until they can accommodate a minimum of ten people. The couple were going to get hitched in France on the 19th of September and got engaged in October 2019.
“At the minute we’re looking into a registry office. I know it’s corny and all that, but it’s nice. We’re going to wait until you can have a minimum of 10 people there and make it just a really nice, cute, personal get together. That takes all the pressure off trying to make it happen when the future is completely unknown.” Brunt told BBC sport.

With no cricket for more than three months, cricketers inevitably have had a hard time adjusting to their lives within the confines of their four walls. At the same time, it has presented an opportunity to try out new things and spend quality time with family. Katherine Brunt claimed that they are spending their time with a new puppy.
“We’re converting the loft. We’re making bespoke bookshelves. We’re gardening. And we’ve got a new puppy.” the 34-year-old Brunt added.
