Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq has hit back at Shahid Afridi following the latter’s tweet regarding the recent scuffle during the Lanka Premier League (LPL). Naveen-ul-Haq was involved in a heated altercation with Mohammad Amir before Shahid Afridi intervened during the match between Kandy Tuskers and Galle Gladiators on Monday.
The incident started after the 18th over of Gladiators’ innings. Amir and Naveen-ul-Haq were involved in a verbal exchange after the end of the over in which the former had hit the latter for a four. Naveen had allegedly abused Amir and it led to ugly scenes as both came face to face before being separated by others.

The drama continued in the 20th over when Amir hit the 21-year old for a six. And after the game ended, the altercation only elevated. Both the players were seen involved in a heated exchange. And when the players were greeting each other, Afridi was seen having an animated talk with the Tuskers pacer.

As the pictures and videos of the incident went viral on social media, Shahid Afridi, on Tuesday, took to Twitter to insist that he had advised Naveen-ul-Haq not to resort to abuse on the field. However, Naveen-ul-Haq’s latest tweet has suggested otherwise.
Replying to Afridi’s tweet, the young pacer claimed that he was being abused by Amir during the scuffle. The 21-year old insisted that his compatriots were being disrespected too, tweeting:
