New Zealand vs India 2020, Test Series: Five Kiwis Players To Watch Out For; After a humiliating whitewash in the T20I series, the New Zealand Cricket Team gave it back to Indian National Cricket Team with a whitewash in the three-match ODI series. Now, both teams will fight in the longer version of the game, which will fall under the ICC World Test Championship.
New Zealand brought back Trent Boult and Ajaz Patel to the side leaving Mitchell Santner and Matt Henry out of the squad. They further added debutant Kyle Jamieson, who had a brilliant season for Auckland and also showed his class in the ODI series against India.
With Ross Taylor, Tom Latham, Henry Nicholls and Kane Williamson in blistering form, the New Zealand side would like to put on a show against the Virat Kohli-led side, who didn’t lose a single game in the Test Championship so far.
New Zealand vs India 2020: Five New Zealand Players To Watch Out For:
5. Neil Wagner:
Wagner is a ”working horse of New Zealand”, who hardly fails to perform in the longer version of the game. The flamboyant cricketer had a brilliant couple of years and garnered a name for his work ethics and the hard work to deliver goods for the team. He will head into the game on the back of fine performances in Australia and against England in home conditions.
The short ball remained his ultimate weapon and it even accounted for Steve Smith four times. In the home Test series against England that preceded that tour, Wagner laboured on surfaces that had nothing to offer him, bowing long spells full of short balls to help New Zealand get back in the game.
Already with the ability to swing the ball both ways, he also added reverse swing to his arsenal.
Now, Wagner has got all the tricks in his hand to get the better off the opposition with his class.

4. Trent Boult:
It doesn’t matter what the surface is when you have a player like Trent Boult in the side. The flamboyant cricketer is capable of delivering goods on any kind of surfaces and a massive threat to the opposition in overcast conditions.
He is making his way back to the side after the injury he sustained in Australia and would like to make the most for his country. Boult has been out of action since breaking his hand in the Boxing Day Test against Australia
As he already has brilliant stats against India, Boult will head into the game with renewed energy. Boult’s fight with Kohli will be interesting alongside the resilient Cheteshwar Pujara.
3. Henry Nicholls:
Despite not making the headlines, Henry Nicholls is one of the consistent performers for New Zealand in the recent past. More often than not, he comes up with a good knock with the bat for his side.
A fluent stroke maker, albeit with a sound technique, the southpaw’s talent was unquestionable since the time he made his domestic debut.
So far, he appeared in 31 Test games for New Zealand, scoring 1711 runs to his name at an average of 40.74.
In the home conditions, he is a tough bloke to stop for the visitors. His patience is the other major asset of him.
Following his brilliant show with the bat in the ODI series, Henry Nicholls Will be the man to watch out during the course of the Test series.
2. Ross Taylor:
One of the best batsmen of New Zealand, Ross Taylor is in the form of his life and already showed what he is capable of doing for his side. The upcoming Test is going to be special for him, as he is all set to receive his 100th Test cap for New Zealand.
He will look to carry his limited-overs form into the longer version of the game to make things fall in place for New Zealand. Ross Taylor was also the lone warrior with the bat for New Zealand in Australia, which proves that he is pretty much in his happy zone to perform for his side. Thus, he will be one of the players to watch out.
1. Kane Williamson:
Off course, Kane Williamson will be the main person to watch out in the lineup of New Zealand. The flamboyant batsman is full of class and a tough nut to crack down for the opposition. He always showed his brilliance with the bat against India and would like to repeat the similar stuff against the visitors.
Besides his batting, Williamson will be the cynosure of eyes for his captaincy skills.
After a disappointing tour of Australia, Williamson will look to lead his side to winning-ways with Test Championship points at stake.
