New Zealand vs India 2020: Twitter Reacts As India Restrict Hosts To Modest Total
After conceding 203 runs in the first T20I, India came up with a much improved bowling performance in the ongoing second game against New Zealand to restrict the hosts to a modest total of 132 for 5 at the Eden Park, Auckland. The visitors are leading the five-match series after winning the first game by six wickets.

Kane Williamson decided to bat first after winning the toss and New Zealand openers once again gave their side a good start. Martin Guptill came out all guns blazing as he and Colin Munro added 48 runs for the first wicket before the former departed on the final ball of the powerplay. Before departing, Guptill hit four boundaries and a couple of six to score 33 from 20 balls.
Big wicket!
Guptill looks to go down the ground again, but gets this one off the toe as it flies straight to Kohli at mid-off who takes a smart catch.

And Guptill’s dismissal allowed India to take command of the proceedings. A couple of overs after Guptill’s departure, Shivam Dube dismissed Colin Munro before Ravindra Jadeja accounted for the hard-hitting Colin de Grandhomme to reduce New Zealand to 74 for 3 from 68 for 1. And even before New Zealand could recover from these quick setbacks, they lost their captain Kane Williamson too to find themselves reeling at 81 for 4.

Ross Taylor and Tim Seifert then stopped the rot and took the score past the 100-run mark in the 16th over when the latter hit Yuzvendra Chahal for a four and a six. But while the two managed to put an end to fall of wickets, they could not accelerate the run-rate.
Taylor and Seifert added 44 runs off 43 balls before the former was dismissed in the final over for 18. The Black Caps eventually finished on 132 with Seifert unbeaten on 33.

Doesn't matter if it's a rank turner or a road, Jadeja keeps it simple!
Dhoni once said that it's difficult to differentiate between Jaddu's good and bad performance. That's how consistently he bowls.#NZvsIND #NZvIND

KL Rahul's chirping behind the stumps is so much better to listen to than Pant's. Mature advices and no unnecessary banter. Plus, coming up to ask Williamson if he was all right after the Shami bouncer was a sweet gesture. KL Rahul for Wicketkeeper on a permanent basis.#NZvIND

Not only has KL Rahul proved to be more than useful with the gloves behind the wickets, he already seems very comfortable taking executive decisions with regards to placing and moving fielders around. He’s taken charge of field placements in fact these two T20Is #NZvIND @cricbuzz

Was a risky decision to give Shardul the 6th over. Most captain would've preferred Bumrah to close out the power play which already went so well. Virat took a chance with Thakur and it ultimately worked. #NZvsIND

Kohli today took Guptill's catch.
