New Zealand will take on India in the first Test of the two-match series from February 21 at Basin Reserve in Wellington. Kane Williamson and Virat Kohli will lead New Zealand and India respectively in the five-day format.

They have lost 20 games at this venue and 24 games have ended in a draw. This is a considerably poor record considering the home advantage the hosts carry.
Talking about the visitors, they too have not had a great record at this venue so far. In the seven games played so far, India have won only a single game at Wellington.
They have lost a total of four games and a couple of games have ended in a draw at the venue for the visitors.

On the first two days of the game, the weather is expected to be cloudy and wind will surely play a crucial role in the game.
During the last three games, the clouds might disappear and the sun might be out as well. But, the wind will be constant throughout the five days.
