IPL 2021 Auction: Royal Challengers Bangalore Complete Squad After The Auction

Royal Challengers Bangalore put on a much-improved showing in IPL 2020 after languishing at the bottom of the table in the last three editions. Royal Challengers Bangalore got eliminated from the tournament in the knockouts by the SunRisers Hyderabad. The Virat Kohli-led side’s form tapered off during the competition’s closing stages that cost them the elusive first IPL title. The 2020 season saw them reach the knockouts for the first time since 2016.

Ahead of the IPL 2021 auction, the franchise has understandably let go of Aaron Finch, who returned with underwhelming performances. The Australian opener, who fetched INR 4.4 crores, scored only one fifty in 12 matches, averaging 22.33 alongside an awful strike rate of 111.20. Perhaps, the most surprising release came of Chris Morris, who bowled outstandingly and was regularly amongst the wickets. The Royal Challengers also liberated the likes of Umesh Yadav, Moeen Ali, Dale Steyn, and Isuru Udana among others.
