India made a strong comeback in the Triseries with a clinical win against Bangladesh. The men in blue started off on the right foot, winning the toss and electing to bowl first.

A resolute performance from the Indian bowling unit ensured Bangladesh being restricted to only 139. Chasing a below par total, Scholar Dhawan yet again made an impressive contribution to the team.

As a result, India chased down the total with six wickets in hand and picked up a crucial couple of points and in process asserted their dominance over the Tigers. Here are the five game-changing moments from the game.

1. Poor Start by the Tigers

Bangladesh started out their campaign in the tri-series in a dismal fashion. Their talismanic batsmen, Tamim Iqbal, could not find the middle of the bat, eating up too many deliveries up front. The early wicket of Soumya Sarkar also did not help their cause either.

Soon after, Tamim put an end to his struggle, as Bangladesh added only 44 and lost a couple of wickets in the powerplays.

2. Tight bowling performance by Indians

Indian bowlers made a decent comeback in tournament especially after the pounding against the Sri Lankans in the opening clash. The bowling unit chipped in with vital wickets through the powerplays, middle overs and death.

Vijay Shankar and Jaydev Unadkat were the picks from the bowling unit as they shared five wickets in between them. Meanwhile, Washington Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal were at their economical best as they applied relentless pressure in the middle overs.

Thanks to the bowling effort  from the Indian team, Bangladesh could only post a below-par total of 139.

3. Early wickets from Bangladesh

The impressive pace lineup of the Bangladeshis chipped in with a couple of vital wickets during the powerplay which stemmed the flow of runs.

Just when Rohit Sharma looked to get his touch back with a couple of trademark boundaries, Mustafizur clinched his wicket of the Indian captain.

Rishabh Pant soon perished as Rubel Hossain bagged his wicket. India could manage only 47 during the powerplay overs and lost a couple of wickets.

4. Priceless knocks from Manish, Raina

Suresh Raina impressed one and all in his comeback trail during the South Africa T20I series. The left-hander played second fiddle to Dhawan throughout the partnership and took the game further away from the Tigers.

The Dhawan-Raina partnership set up the Indian chase as the two added 68 runs in just 54 balls. Raina scored a priceless 28 off 26 deliveries under pressure to take India closer to victory.

Whatever hopes Bangladesh had after picking up the wickets of Dhawan and Raina was erased by the cameo from Manish Pandey. Manish took the men in blue across the finishing line with his 19-ball 27.

India is blessed to have a man in form up front in Shikhar Dhawan. Every time he steps on the field, the southpaw guarantees runs from his bat.

Following 466 runs on the South African tour, Dhawan started off his campaign in the Nidahas Trophy with a majestic 90.

Missing out on his Man of the Match title, this time around, Dhawan ensured he clinched the award with his knock against Bangladesh. Dhawan scored a 43-ball 55 to take India towards victory by 6 wickets.
