Kolkata Knight Riders’ designated number three batsman Nitish Rana’s woeful form continued in IPL 2020. Nitish Rana, who has shone in the last few seasons and showed immense potential, has scored only one fifty in nine games. In the ongoing match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, the southpaw perished for a first-ball duck to seamer Mohammed Siraj.
Mohammed Siraj, who replaced Shahbaz Ahmed, for the clash against Kolkata Knight Riders, struck twice in the second over of the innings, which was his first. He removed Rahul Tripathi, who edged it to AB De Villiers, behind the stumps. Siraj bamboozled Nitish Rana with an inswinger as the southpaw made no foot movement with the delivery sneaking in and hitting the off-stump.
Walking into the game, Kolkata Knight Riders made two massive changes, leaving out Andre Russell for Tom Banton and swapping Prasidh Krishna for Shivam Mavi. On the other hand, RCB only left out Shahbaz Ahmed for Mohammed Siraj. It was a move by Virat Kohli that is currently paying off quite well. Presently, Mohammed Siraj has taken three out of the four wickets to fall with KKR skipper Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik on the crease.
