Kane Williamson Blessed With A Babygirl
On Wednesday, Kane Williamson, took to Instagram to announce the birth of his first baby, his newborn daughter. He took to Instagram and wrote, “Overjoyed to welcome a beautiful baby girl into our family”
Williamson performed magnificently well in the first Test match of the series as he scored a mammoth double century in the first innings of the first Test match that helped the hosts gain a massive lead over West Indies as they managed to beat the Caribbeans by an innings and 134 runs. He was awarded the man of the match for his brilliant 251-run innings.
This led to an uprise in his ICC Test Rankings as he climbed to the number 2 spot after the first Test alongside Indian skipper Virat Kohli. In the second Test match, Williamson was not a part of the squad as he was expecting the birth of his child. However, the good news came on Wednesday after the second Test had already come to a close.
In the second Test match, New Zealand won by an innings and 12 runs as they captured the two-match series 2-0. Kyle Jamieson won the Man of the Match award for his sheer brilliance with the ball. However, due to Williamson’s non-participation in the second Test, his ICC Test Ranking saw a slight dip as he shifted to the third position in the recently released rankings.
The Kiwis will now take on Pakistan in a three-match T20I series and a two-match Test series, the first game of which, commences from December 18.
